About Me
Hi there! I'm Ryan, a PhD Candidate in the Geography Graduate Group at UC Davis. I'm an interdisciplinary researcher and instructor with emphases in urban planning, natural hazards, climate gentrification, and environmental justice and resilience at all scales. My research has spanned topics from the economic impacts of habitat conservation along the Sacramento River, to evaluating FEMA's newest flood insurance policy rates, to mapping the population diaspora in the wake of California's deadliest wildfire. In addition to my research interests, I am a dedicated and seasoned instructor, and have taught over 40 courses in social sciences, spatial methods, and urban planning across four campuses including community colleges, teaching institutions, and research campuses.
